Can You Wash Your Dog with Human Soap??
I get a lot of people asking if they can use their soap on their dog
The answer is NO…
Why Human Soap Isn't Safe for Dogs
pH Imbalance
Human skin is more acidic (pH ~5.5), while dog skin is more neutral (pH ~6.2–7.4).
Using human soap can disrupt a dog’s skin pH, leading to dryness, irritation, or even infections.
Harsh Ingredients
Many soaps contain fragrances, dyes, and chemicals that are too strong for a dog’s sensitive skin.
These can cause allergic reactions, itching, or rashes.
Stripping Natural Oils
Dogs have a protective layer of oils on their skin and coat.
Harsh soaps can strip these oils, making their coat dull and skin flaky.
You may note that SOAP BY SELLERS doesn’t contain the harsh ingredients mentioned, but you still shouldn’t use it on your dog because it was tailored specifically for humans… rest assured, you can be confident it is the right soap for you!
